Louis Marquis, 53, died at his home, 130 East Waco street, at 8:10 o'clock Wednesday night. He was a native of Medina county, but had lived in San Antonio for seventeen years. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary Marquis; four daughters, Misses Gertrude, Annie, Lydia and Edna Marquis, all of San Antonio; three sisters, Mrs. Katherine Breiten of Dunlay, Tex., Mrs. Leonora Grell and Mrs. Marie Balzen, both of Texas; two brothers, Julius Marquis of Cuero and Alex Marquis, of New Orleans. Mr. Marquis was a member of the Siemering Lodge No. 32 of the Hermann Sons Practorians, San Antonio Camp No. 529, W. O. W. and of the Letter Carriers Association. Funeral services will be held at the family residence at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon. Pallbearers will be members of the Letter Carriers Association. Burial will be in the New Lutheran Cemetery under the direction of the Riebe Undertaking company.
