Mrs Emma Pittman, 67, died at 6:30 Monday morning in the Elkhart General hospital. She became ill last Tuesday at the home of her son in law and daughter, Mr and Mrs Evart
Gordon of six miles south west of here, of intestinal flu. Her condition became serious Friday night and was taken to the hospital where she passed away.

She was born March 18, 1870 Madison township, the daughter of Anna and Christian Abbiehl.


She married Harry Kling, October 10, 1898. He died about 36 years ago. On March 5, 1924 she married Chalmer Pittman, who died 6 years ago.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs Gordon, with whom she lived. Four sons, Paul, Floyd and Kenneth Kling of Fort Wayne, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 3 brothers, Fred Abbiehl of Wisconsin, John Abbiehl of Elkhart and Edward Abbiehl of Bremen.

Funeral services will be held (today) Thursday with a prayer service at the Gordon home with a further service at 2 o'clock at the Oak Grove MBC church, in charge of Revs L L Rassi, pastor of the Zion MBC church of Elkhart, and Russell Miller, pastor of the Oak Grove church. Burial in North Union cemetery.
