"Mabton Student John Williamson Dies in Seattle
MABTON: John Edward Williamson, 17, a nine year resident of Mabton died last Sunday night in the Providence hospital in Seattle following an extended illness. He was born in Yakima February 16, 1938 and moved to Mabton when in the second grade. He transferred to Mabton from Castlevale school. He attended Mabton grade and high schools. He was a good student and participated in many extra-curricular activities.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Williamson; two brothers, James in the U.S. Navy and Gerald a freshman at Mabton high school; one sister, Janet, a freshman at Washington State College; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley P. Williamson of South Dakota, and Mrs. Bessie Baily of Yakima…"
