Ethel Louise Hill Bond Sports, 83, of Galax, Virginia, left this earth to be with the Lord, Wednesday, January 26, 2005 after a long illness. A very determined lady, she finally lost the battle and went to be with family members that preceded her in death, four sisters, Forest Gilley, Nettie Dillon, Lona Layell, and Clara Smith; three brothers, Horace Hill, Kelvey Hill and Homer Hill; mother and dad, Alexander and Flora Jane Hill; her husbands, Clifford Bond and Woodrow Sports. She is survived by three sons, Carroll Eugene and wife, Mary, Mt. Airy, N.C., James Randall, Galax, Va. and Donald Wayne and wife, Anna
of Roanoke, Va.; two sisters, Margaret Frost of Galax, Va. and Ina Mae Anders of Salem, Va.; one sister-in-law, Bertha Hill of Fries, Va.; five grandchildren, Kim Bottoms, Mt. Airy, N.C., Tiffany Childs, Springfield, Va., Michael Bond, Macon, Ga., Loura Evans, Galax, Va. and Tina Bond of Foley, Ala.; four great-grandchildren, Braden Bottoms, Cole Evans, Jeramy Evans and Tonya Evans;
very special friends, Temple Davis and Sue Ellis. The funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with burial to follow in Monta Vista Cemetery. Rev. Ted Bartlett will officiate. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 until 9 at the funeral home.
