Born April 14, 1919, in Union County, Mr. Aycoth, a son of the late Edward Sylvester and Julia Emma Moser Aycoth, was a member of Faith Freewill Baptist Church. He retired in 1983 from Cannon Mills Plant 4 weave room.
His wife, Dorothy Lee Aycoth, died Feb. 2, 200l. He was also preceded in death by daughters Mary Ellen Aycoth and Barbara Ann Winburn and a granddaughter.
Survivors include daughter Brenda Kay Colver, Salisbury; brother Leroy Aycoth, Polkton; sisters Lillian Aycoth, Lexington, Mildred Mobley, Concord, Darsie Brown, Salisbury, and Erlene Pate and Jo Green, both of Harrisburg; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, Faith Freewill Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. James Pauley. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial at Carolina Memorial Park.
Visitation: 7-9 tonight, Whitley's Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at the home on Locust Street.
