Nita was a member of a number of civic organizations, including past-president of the Symphony Guild, ARCS and Lubbock Women's Club. She was also a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She worked part-time at the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal with her husband and was a homemaker.
Her memory will be cherished by her daughter, Allison Ridley of Lubbock; son, Chris Norris of Lubbock; brother, Don Adams of Tucson, AZ; sister-in-law, Anne Hobbs Bradley of Atlanta, GA; and one granddaughter, Amanda Norris of Branford, CT.
Nita was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert, in October, 1986; and one brother, Royle Adams.
