Obituary of Charley Gann-


Charley Gann was born January 5, 1852, in Tennessee and died at the home of his son Johnny near Thorpe, Mo.. Aug. 15, 1945, at the age of 33 years, 7 months and 10 days.

He came to Missouri with his parents at the age of two years and has lived in Dallas county ever since.

He was united in marriage to Prudence Pateet in 1874. To them were born two children, Johnny with whom he was making his home at the time of his death, and Elbert who passed away seven years ago. His companion preceded him in death Sept. 20. 1926.

He is survived by the one son. nine grandchildren, ten great grand children and one sister, Mrs. Patsy Pack, of Springfield.

He was saved in a revival meeting at Antioch many years ago.

The funeral was at Thorpe church at 11 a. m. Aug. 17 with Rev. Lawrence Graves officiating and burial was in the Thorpe cemetery under direction of Rainey of Marshfield.
