U. S. Bolton, 59, of Seaside, California died in Seaside Monday, March 29.

He was born August 22, 1917 at Hollis, the son of Sherd and Elizabeth Kenney Bolton. He spent most of his life in the Salt Fork Community although his work in custom harvesting and oil field work took him away from here over long periods, principally to south Texas and California. For the last 7 years, he had made his home in California, where he was a gardener.

Mr. Bolton was a veteran of World War II and a Baptist and a member of the American Legion.

He was married to Miss Lila Mae Wright December 14, 1935 at Salt Fork. She preceded him in death May 29, 1968. He was then married to Charlestreen Motsenbocker Kennedy of Wellington in January 1969.

Survivors are his widow, Mrs. Charlestreen Bolton of Seaside; daughters, Mrs. Nell Reid of Houston and Sherideen Bolton of Seaside; sons, Richard Bolton, Charles J. Kennedy and Shaun Kennedy of Seaside; three brothers, Ernest Bolton of Hobbs, NM, Carol Bolton of Los Angeles, CA and the Rev. Tom Bolton of Mangum, OK; and three sisters, Mrs. Sarah Fields of Childress, Mrs. Gracie Mize of Erick, OK and Mrs. Nona Payne of Turlock, CA.
