Ann W. "Mama Tut" Conner, of 1 Chasta Avenue, widow of William Millard Conner, died November 8, 2010 at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
A native of Spartanburg County, daughter of the late Harvey D. and Carrie Louise Bishop Welborn, she was a retired employee of Bellsouth, a member of Eastlan Baptist Church, and a member of Telephone Pioneers.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Sally C. and Jerry Stepp of Taylors; a son and daughter-in-law, W. David and Kathi Conner of Clemson; seven grandchildren, Brad and Shay Stepp of Simpsonville, Melissa and Doug Rogers of Greer, Emily and Roger McDowell of Simpsonville, Graham and Mary Lanier Stepp of Taylors, Clint and Alyssa Conner of Pendleton, Angie and Brad Henderson of Seneca, and Nick and Jessica Conner of Clemson; and eleven great-grandchildren, Caroline, Grant, and Sarah Rogers, Reagan Muncus, Jack Stepp, Ayden and Andrew McDowell, Cooper and Conner Henderson, Cashton Conner, and Wells Stepp.
Mrs. Conner was predeceased by a brother, David Bishop Welborn and a sister, Dr. Betty Welborn Hydrick.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Eastlan Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. Philip Whitt and Rev. Jeff Dean. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Larry Welborn, Gary Jones, Ciro Piccirillo, Elwyn Douglas, Joe Hand, Norm Shaffer, and Kent Haney.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at The Wood Mortuary, Greer, S.C.
The family is at the home.
