Mr. Lafever died on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
He was born January 30, 1945 in Putnam County to the late Lillard L. and Della Fisher Lafever. Mr. Lafever was a Navy veteran and member of Powell Masonic Lodge #582. He was a quality inspector with several nuclear plants in the Southeast Region.
His family includes his wife of 40 years, Una Gentry Lafever of Baxter; two sons and a daughterinlaw: Christopher Doyle Lafever of Baxter, and James Lee and Cathy Jo Lafever of Spartanburg, SC; a brother, Howard Jack Lafever of California; two granddaughters: Taylor N. and Hannah L. Lafever; two grandsons: Colin Lee and Hayden James Lafever.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Lafever was preceded in death by a sister, Arah Nell Lafever; and four brothers: James Lee, Ray Donald, Harold Dean and Herbert H. Lafever.
