Zack Everette Livingston, 88, of North, died Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at his residence.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2011, at North United Methodist Church with Chaplain John Jordan and the Rev. John Williams III officiating.

Mr. Livingston was born August 3, 1922, in Orangeburg, to the late Hugo Carlisle and Eloise Livingston. He had retired from NCNB as a branch manager in North, and was also a farmer, raising Angus cattle and various crops. He graduated from Orangeburg High School in 1940 and Orangeburg Commercial School.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1942-1946 aboard the USS Warren in the Pacific. Mr. Livingston was a longtime member of North United Methodist Church, where he faithfully attended and had served as chairman of the Official Board, as well as treasurer. He was also a member of the North Lion's Club, American Legion, the VFW, North Masonic Lodge 119, Orangeburg Cattleman's Association, and the S.C. Angus Association, where he served as secretary/treasurer.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Ida O. Livingston of the home; three children: Laura Livingston Gleaton, and Zack Everette Livingston Jr. and his wife, Donna, all of North; and Elizabeth Livingston Holstein and her husband, Jeff, of Columbia; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Emma Livingston Craig and John of Niceville, FL; a brother-in-law, Henry D. Salter of Summerville; a number of nieces and nephews.
