Ruth Marguerite Craig, 80, of 617 N. Railroad St., died at 2:10 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2001, in White County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Marion County on April 8, 1921, to Oscar Edward and Grace May Gust Kortepeter.
She attended Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis.
She had lived in Monticello most of her life.
She was a member of the Oak Grove Christian Church.
She was a member of the La-dies of the Moose in Monticello. She enjoyed dancing, crocheting, knitting, reading and sports.
She is survived by a son, Gareth Ray Craig of Indianapolis; two daughters, Nicolette Kay Craig of Indianapolis and Lisa Gay Craig of Monticello; a sister, Marian Melva Oliger of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.
A sister is deceased.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday at Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Don Haase officiating.
Burial will be in the Riverview I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
