ANDERSON-- William E. (Andy), 88, of Sand Springs, died Friday, July 11, 1997 in Tulsa. Mr. Anderson was born October 8, 1908 in Omaha, NE and was raised there. He had lived in the Sand Springs area since the mid 1940's, where he was a Purchasing Agent at Armco Steel. He was an Elder and former President of the Board of the First Presbyterian Church in Sand Springs; a member of the Sand Springs Masonic Lodge #475; Guthrie Scottish Rite; 50 year member of American Legion; past President of Lions Club; member of Purchasing Agents Association; Magic Empire Coin Club; Tulsa Stamp Club; Red Castle Gun Club. Served as Librarian for the International Bank Note Society. Preceded in death by wife of more than 50 years, Esther Sanders Anderson. Survived by: two daughters, three grandchildren, brother, Charles R. Anderson of Omaha, NE. In lieu of flowers friends may contribute to Memorial Fund of First Presbyterian Church in Sand Springs or their favorite charity. Memorial service will be Monday, July 14, 1997, 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 222 N. Adams Road, Sand Springs with interment to follow at Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Mobley-Dodson Funeral Service, 245-6644. (Tulsa World)
