Death of Mrs. Harry Backus.
     Mrs. Harry Backus, widow of a well-known resident of Batavia who lived for many years on Ellicott street, died yesterday at the home of her niece, Mrs. Harvey, at New London, Con., aged 86 years. The remains will be brought to Batavia for burial on Monday.
