Sylvia ""Honey"" McCaffrey Beard Randolph, age 82, of Gulfport, passed away on June 8, 2010 in Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Simms McCaffrey Prejean and John Bodwell McCaffrey; husbands, Jack Beard and Donald Randolph; two brothers, Stanley McCaffrey and Richard McCaffrey; and a grand daughter, Ashleigh Felker.
She is survived by her children, Bonnie Beard Reed and her husband, Fred, Glenn Beard and his wife, Carol, Doris Beard Randall and her husband, Bill, and Jackie Beard and his wife, Chanda; her grandchildren, Dean McKay, Chad Felker, Kim Beard, Kara Beard, W. Ashton Randall, C. Jackson Randall, Rebecca Randall Tabb, Madeline Randall, Jacob Beard, and Kyle Beard; and eleven great grandchildren.
She was a lifelong resident of the Coast and a faithful mother, wife, and friend.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the re-building funds of First Presbyterian Church of Gulfport, 10885 O'Neal Rd, Gulfport, MS 39503 or First Baptist Church of Gulfport, 12190 Mississippi 605, Gulfport, MS 39503.
The family would like to thank all of their family and friends for their love, prayers, and support during Honey's illness. They would like to especially thank Honey's caregivers, Chanda Beard, Denise Broadus, and Betty Harris, who were truly ""God's hands"" here on earth.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 3:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Gulfport where family and friends may visit from 1:30 PM until service time. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport.
