Retired President Of Homer Bank Dies HOMER William McKennan 82 president of the Calhoun State Bank of Homer for 10 years until a few weeks ago died Sunday at his home here following two months Illness.
Mr McKennan was bonr Dec 10 1867 near Chatham Ontario Canada a son of Mr and Mrs John McKennan.
His family moved to the Homer vicinity when he was small and lived on farms in Clarendon township and southeast of Homer.
He had been a director of the Calhoun bank for many years before being named its president.
Active in Masonic groups, he was a past worshipful master of the F. V A. M. lodge, past liich priest of the R. A. M. chapter, a member of Albion council, R. S: S. M. and past worthy patron of Stella chapter. Order of the Eastern Star. He was a life member of the F. & A. M. and Eastern Star.
Mr. McKennan was a life elder of the Homer Presbyterian church and served for many years as a member of the board of trustees.
He married Miss Barbara Mcllwain of Homer, who survives. Services will be held at 2:30 p. m. Wednesday from the Presbyterian church with Dr. Georce W. Prentice officiating.
Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
