Alvin Andrew Frost age 86 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, September 20, 2006 at Twin County Regional Hospital. He was born in Wythe County, Virginia on May 9, 1920 to the late Bert Sanders and Lula Virginia Gardner Frost. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Helene Ayers Frost and two grandchildren, Melissa Lynn Bagwell and Joshua Andrew Frost. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Linda & Charles Bagwell of Galax, Virginia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Leon & Lisa Frost of Galax, Va.; Donald Ray & Sherry Frost of Fancy Gap, Va.; sister, Berta Mae Collins of Barren Springs, Va.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 23, 2006 at 11:00 AM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Bill Ring officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery with Military Rites by Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends Friday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
