Baxter Springs, Kansas: Corrine Ames, age 92, passed from this life Monday, February 14, 2011 at Freeman Health System, Joplin, MO.
Corrine was born April 23, 1918 in Picher, OK. to Roy and Albertina (Erikson) Rush.
She was united in marriage to Sam E. Ames November 5, 1938, he preceded her in death Sept 1, 1986.
She was a member of the Apostolic Faith Church of Baxter Springs, KS.
She belonged to the Baxter Miners Camping Club and the Good Sam's Camping Club.
Her hobbies included spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. Those who had the opportunity to know her and share in her life know she will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors include one son, Sam Ames of Baxter Springs, KS; two grandchildren Cassie Dunn of PeaRidge, AR. and Josh Ames of Baxter Springs, KS; two Great Grandchildren Lilly Dunn and Lexi Dunn; two sister-in-laws Evelyn Ames of Carl Junction, MO and Jewel Rush of Murray, UT.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, two brothers Roy and Alvie Rush and one sister Nadine Harrington.
Funeral services will be Thursday February 17, 2011 at the Apostolic Faith Church in Baxter Springs, KS at 2:00pm. Pastor Howard Whiteley and Pastor Mark Kerr will officiate.
The family will receive friends Wednesday February 16, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Derfelt's Baxter Chapel in Baxter Springs, KS.
