The Rev. Cecil B. Anderson, 72, of Windsor Drive died Sunday at Schumpert Medical Center after a sudden illness.
Born Feb. 1, 1905, the Rev. Anderson had been an Assembly of God minister for 40 years and had built six churches. The Laurel, Miss., native had lived in Shreveport 14 years. He was minister of the Living Waters Temple and prior to that had pastored the Broadmoore Assembly of God Church.
His other pastorates included churches in El Dorado, Magnolia and McGehee, Ark., Natchez, Miss., and Bossier City, La.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Inez Anderson; a son, Jerry Allen Anderson of Cherokee Village, Ark., three daughters, Mrs. Vera Hines of Bossier City, Mrs. Robbie Adams of Little Rock, Ark., and Mrs. Gay Montgomery of Cabot, Ark.; three sisters, Mrs. Gladys Rawson, Mrs. Jewel Henry and Mrs. Ladora Nix, all of Laurel; a brother, Carl Anderson of Laurel; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Rose-Neath Funeral Home's South Side Chapel.
