The gentleman whose name head this article was born in Russell County, Ky., Mar 17th, 1835 and died at his late home, Crocus, Adair County, March 3rd 1905, making him 79 years old ?? 14 days. The decease as a very active business man, had been sheriff of Russell county several terms and had filled a number of other important positions of trust. He was a man of strong opinion and the spoke them, but was just to every body with whom he had dealings. The death removes him from Adair County one of her most influential citizens, this wife had parted from a loving husband and his children from an affectionate and indulgent father. Besides his wife he is survived by nine children, all grown. The names are N B Miller, Bryan Miller, E V Miller, Albert and Robert Miller, Dr S P Miller; Mrs Venia Kelsey, Mrs A H Ballard and Mrs H N Miller. To them and the surviving wife was desire to extend our deepest sympathy. A good husband and a kind father has paid debt due from all living, a happy home has been made desolate and a large scope of country bereft of its best friend. The burial took place near his residence, last Monday many relatives and friends being present.
