Graveside service for Mr. Preston Lamar Fomby, 63, of Punta Gorda, will be Thursday, February 17, 2011 at 1:00 pm at the Alexander City Cemetery. Rev. Josh Sammons will officiate. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 17, 2011 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Radney Funeral Home.
Mr. Fomby passed away on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at his residence. He was born on January 18, 1948 in Alexander City, AL to George Preston Fomby and Cora Lee Waller Fomby. Mr. Fomby was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Aldrich Fomby of Punta Gorda, FL; daughter, Stormy Fomby of Childersburg; son, Josh Fomby (Haley) of Alexander City; son, Dameon Carlisle (Julie) of Alexander City; step-sons, Kody Aldrich and Kyle Aldrich both of Punta Gorda, FL; 3 Grandchildren; 3 Grandchildren; sisters, Angie Lucas (Randal) of Alexander City and Ruby Lee Denney (John Harold) of Ashland, AL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Olin Cager Fomby.
