Mrs. Susie Carrington, widow of the late S. T. Carrington, died last Sunday afternoon at 6:00 in the home of her brother, Esq. W.A.Douglas, in the old 18th district. Mrs. Carrington had reached the great age of 82. She leaves two children, Mrs. Jennie Clements, now of Memphis, and Mrs. Susie Taylor, Dickson.
Her maiden name was Douglass, being a daughter of Esq. Abel Douglass, this county, who died many years ago. She first married Dr. Giles Waller, Juno; she next married Jerry White of the old 8th district and her last husband was S.T. Carrington. She had been a member of the Methodist Church since childhood and those wo knew her tell us that she was more than an extra woman in all the relations of life.
