John Thomas Hodges, 52, died Monday at Bulloch Memorial Hospital after a long illness. The Bulloch County native was a farmer and a member of Nevils United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Anne T. Hodges, Nevils; two daughters, Vonda Fields and Christy Miles, both of Orlando, Fla.; one stepdaughter, Allison Michelle Smith, Statesboro; two stepsons, Robert E. Smith and Kenneth E. Smith, both of Statesboro; his mother, Irene Hodges Nevils; one brother, Ray Hodges, Nevils; one grandchild and one stepgrandchild.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hodges-Turner Funeral Home, with Dr. Guy K. Hutcherson officiating. Burial will be in the Nevils United Methodist Church cemetery. Hodges-Turner Funeral Home.
