Kenneth S. Seppelt, 73, of Isanti died suddenly at home on March 8, 2010.

Kenneth was born on June 7, 1936 to Ed and Margaret (Ducshner) Seppelt in Pierz, Minn. He was united in marriage to Doreen Billmeyer on January 7, 1961 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Pierz.

He proudly served in the Army from 1955 to 1957 in Korea. He worked for Adolfson and Peterson Construction from 1959 to 1995 as a superintendent on many buildings throughout the Twin Cities.

He had many hobbies including woodworking projects that he would give as gifts. He also enjoyed gardening, starting many trees from the seeds he would gather here and there. We now have these trees that he would share with family and friends. Nothing would light up the room for him as when his granddaughters, Hannah and Sarah, would walk in and throw their arms around him.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Ed Seppelt, Margaret and Raymond Boser; brother, Lester Seppelt.

He is survived by his loving wife Doreen of Isanti; daughter, Carol (Tim) Sende of Isanti; son, Keith (Karen) Seppelt of Princeton; brother, Robert (Jenny) Seppelt of Buckman, three sisters, Mary Ella (Delroy) Thommes of Royalton, Margie (Arnold) Benusa of Bowlus, Bernadette (Jake) Sorvari of Little Falls; sister-in-law, Romaine Seppelt of Hillman; granddaughters, Hannah and Sarah Sende, and many nieces, nephews and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 11 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Cambridge with Father James David Hahn as Celebrant. A visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., with the Rosary at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10 at Strike Funeral Home – Isanti Chapel and also one hour prior to the service at the church.

Musicians will be Mary Kuhn and Nancy Avery. Pallbearers will be Neal, Mark, Dean and Paul Seppelt, Brian Thommes and Marvin Hiemenz.

Interment will be in Christ the King Catholic Cemetery with the Cambridge American Legion Post providing Military Honors.
