MRS. MARTHA SPENCER PASSES AT HOSPITAL

Mrs. Martha Blanche Spencer, 25, a resident of Eugene motor route 2, died at the Pacific Christian hospital following a brief illness Sunday night. She was born at Richland, Ore., Aug. 2, 1905.

Mrs. Spencer is survived by her widower, H.R. Spencer; a son, Richard; her mother, Mrs. Rebecca Craig, route 2; three brothers, Elvin, Ernest and Cecil Craig, all of Eugene; and four sisters, Ruth and Doris Craig of Eugene, Mrs. Velma Allen of Fellows, Cal., and Mrs. Viola Baker of Phoenix, Ariz.

The body is at the Branstetter chapel, from which funeral arrangements are being made. ~~END~~

NOTES:

Martha Blanche Craig was the daughter of Richard Franklin "Frank" Craig and Rebecca Jane (Eveland) Craig. She married H. Raymond Spencer about 1923 and their son Richard was born about 1924. The cause of her death was a ruptured ectopic pregnancy. Raymond and Blanche Spencer were neighbors of Roy & Fedelia Corum, Thomas Goodpasture and Charles Shuck, all living in the Willakenzie area of Eugene.
