Gordon Blaine Granzow, 73, of Edmond, OK, was born Jan 28, 1922, in Edmond, OK, to Henry and Irma Granzow. Gordon was a lifelong resident of Edmond, graduating Edmond High School in 1939, and going on to graduate Oklahoma University in 1943, where he became a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Gordon married Jackie Amos on Oct 14, 1945, in Edmond. He served his country in the US Navy, serving in WWII.

After returning from the war in 1946, Gordon established his career at Citizens Bank of Edmond, of which he was accustomed to already having grown up around the banking business in Edmond. He was President of the bank for many years and at his death, he was Chairman of the Board of the bank.

Gordon was well-known in the banking industry. Having his position with the bank enabled him to be very instrumental in the economic growth and progress of Edmond.

Other activiites of Gordon's include his membership at First United Methodist Church of Edmond, of which he had served as the Treasurer of the church. He was past President of the Edmond Rotary Club and had also served on the Edmond Planning Commission.

Gordon passed away March 13, 1995, in Edmond, OK. He and his leadership will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Brenda Granzow; sister and brother-in-law, Ardys and Hap Barnard; niece Karen and husband Gus Comiskey; and nephew, Larry and wife Marla Barnard.
