He was the son of Moses Bond and Liddie Egger.

He was married to Cecelia A Dean on January 16, 1866 in Choctaw, Mississippi. After her death he was married to Cynthia L. Dean. His first and second wife were sisters. He was a First Lieutenant, Company D, 24th Mississippi Infantry, Confederate States Army.

He died on July 20, 1933, in Driftwood, Texas, at the age of 86, and was buried in Wimberley, Texas. (per Ancestry dot com) He is buried in Jacobs Well Cemetery.
