September 10, 1945

A retired yardmaster of the P.R.R., died at his home, 2010 West Chestnut avenue, yesterday at 4.20 p.m.

He was born in Blair township, Blair county, Sept. 1, 1864, a son of Michael and Anna (Carr) Ziegler, and retired from the company in 1932 after forty-nine years' service. Surviving are his widow, Mary Jane (Wynecoop) Ziegler; five daughters, Mrs. W.S. Thompson and Mrs. C.F. Osner, Narberth, Pa.; Mrs. L.M. Kahn, Philadelphia; Mrs. Arthur Cassidy, York; Mrs. Kenneth Thompson, Altoona; two brothers, Edward Ziegler, Bloomington, Ill.; G. Howard Ziegler, Altoona; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Reed, Altoona; Mrs. Ida Baiser, Altoona, and five grandchildren.

Mr. Ziegler was a member of the First Lutheran church and of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Friends will be received at the Laughlin funeral home after 7 p.m. today.

ZIEGLER ~~ Funeral services for Homer Lloyd Ziegler, 2010 West Chestnut avenue, will be held from the Laughlin funeral home, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in charge of Rev. Luke H. Rhoads. Interment in Rose Hill cemetery. Friends will be received at the Laughlin funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
