Often Illinois Martin Austin was confused with her niece Illinois Ollie Austin. Some researchers have both ladies married to Owen Davis Medlen. Ollie Austin married Bose Hayes, 12/23/1911. Between 1900-1910 the Martin family moved from Tennessee to Allison, Oklahoma. A few years after Owens death, Illinois returned to Tennessee. She would spend time with each of her siblings. She died at the home of brother, Albert Riley. Illinois was a large boned woman.
