An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, tennis, and photography. He also enjoyed reading, especially periodicals.
Besides his wife, he leaves a daughter and her husband, a son and his wife, a brother, 2 sisters, 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by 2 brothers.
