Mrs. Helen M. Launstein, 65, 110 Edgar St., Kane, died suddenly Thursday, Feb. 1, 1979, at her home.
She was born at McKees Rocks, Pa., on Jan. 9, 1914, the daughter of the late Oscar and Ruth (Corson) Batsch. Prior to retirement, she was an elementary school teacher in Warren Borough. She graduated from Kane High School, attended West Chester State Teachers College, graduated from Edinboro State Teachers College with a bachelor's degree and graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a master's degree. She was a member of St. Callistus Church in Kane.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Launstein, in 1945.
Surviving are a brother, Harold Batsch, Camp Hill, Pa.; and two nieces.
A funeral service was held Sunday at Cummings Funeral Home, Kane, with the Rev. Joseph Gerge, pastor of St. Callistus Church, officiating. Burial will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Kane.
