FORT WORTH - Field A. Baughman, 83, a retired engineer, died Friday, Aug. 13, 1999, in Fort Worth.

Cryptside service: 2 p.m. Saturday in Greenwood Mausoleum.

Memorials: Salvation Army.

Field A. Baughman was born Aug. 13, 1916, in Fort Worth. He was a lifelong resident of Fort Worth. He was a commercial developer and builder. He worked for Montgomery Ward as a field engineer and maintenance engineer. He served during World War II as an officer in the Navy. He was active in the Boy Scouts of America, Shriners and Civitan Club.

Mr. Baughman was preceded in death by his parents, Homer L. and Ione Baughman; brother, Robert Baughman; and son, Donnie K. Baughman.

Survivors: His wife, Wanda V. Baughman of Fort Worth; daughters, Fieldan Stoner and her husband, Evrerret of Springtown and Janice M. de la Garza and her husband, Carlos A. Jr., of San Antonio; stepdaughter, Suzanne Alexander and her husband, Charles; brother, Homer L. Baughman Jr.; grandchildren, Christina Abbott and her husband, Walt, of Springtown, Julie Wilson and her husband, Michael, of Lake Worth, Michael Stoner and his wife, Glenda, of Springtown, Carlos A. de la Garza III and hiswife, Leticia, Jonathan D. de la Garza and his wife, Jennifer, and Christopher P. de la Garza, all of San Antonio, Kirk Baughman of Houston, Jennifer Lanter and her husband, Tom, Lee Ann Broswell and her husband, Bryan, and Becky Miller and her husband, Matthew, all of Fort Worth; four great-grandchildren; and six stepgreat-grandchildren.
