Funeral services for William Jackson Glover, 89, retired farmer, were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Pleasant Ridge Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. William DeRamus and Rev. Mack Pinkelton. Burial took place in the church cemetery. Mr. Glover died Sunday, Dec. 25, at Florence, Ala., after a long illness.
Born September 18, 1871, in Lawrence County, he was the son of the late James Glover and Ruth Doggett Glover.
Mr. Glover is survived by one son, Jimmy Glover, Giles County; three daughters, Mrs. Nathan Bass, Giles County, Mrs. Haughty Neely, Wayne, Mich., and Mrs. Christine Harrison, Florence, Ala.; twenty-eight grandchildren and fifty-eight great grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Nola Mize; and two brothers, Luther Glover and Grady Glover, all of Giles County. Bennett-May and Company, in charge of arrangements.
