Helen L. Brown, 80, a former Norwood resident, died Thursday in Riverside Hospital, Wilmington, after a month's illness. Mrs. Brown resided in the Compton Towers Apartments, Wilmington. The widow of Charles S. Brown, she was born in Waynesboro and came to Delaware County during World War I. She was a member of the Prospect Park Chapter 301 Order of the Eastern Star and Immanuel Lutheran Church, Norwood.
Survivors include two sons, William Bruce Coffman of Media and Richard Coffman of Atlanta, Ga.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Grove Funeral Home, Waynesboro. Burial will be in Burns Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro. There will be no calling hours.
Contributions in her memory may be sent to the Immanuel Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
