COLUMBIA — Funeral services were to be at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home here for John E. Jones, 58, of Columbia.

The Rev. David Beebe was to officiate, with burial in Welcome Home Cemetery.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ella Mae Jones of Columbia; one son, Bennie Jones of Broken Bow, Okla.; four daughters, Mrs. Georgia Sloan of Alexandria, Mrs. Mary Anderson of Houma, Mrs. Barbara Wilson of Tallulah and Mrs. Nelda Knighten of Broken Bow, Okla.; two step-sons, James Holloway of Columbia and J. W. Holloway of West Monroe; two step-daughters, Mrs. Margaret Vercher of Alexandria and Mrs. Marie Mosely of Monroe; six brothers, Jesse Jones, Ernest Jones, and Charlie Ray Jones, all of Monroe, A. J. Jones of Perryville, Vernon Jones of West Monroe, and Jimmy Jones of Winnsboro; two sisters, Mrs. Frances Eubanks of Sterlington and Mrs. Lucy Austin, of Monroe; and 11 grandchildren.
