Mrs. Nichols was born June 12, 1916, in Kansas City, Mo. She attended Waco schools. She married James D. Nichols in 1940 in Waco; he died April 25, 1985. She retired from Sears, Roebuck and Co. in 1956. Mrs. Nichols was a member of Victory Temple Assembly of God.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Charlton of Conroe and Joyce Thedford Sanders of Waco; son, Douglas Nichols of Houston; sister, June Roberts of Lake Arrowhead, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
