Hud Tomlin was born in Hayward, California on January 7, 1948, but as a young boy moved to Texas with his family. He passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2006, at a hospital after a yearlong battle with cancer. Howard had a long career in the lumber industry and for the last 26 years, he owned, together with his wife, T&T Lumber & Mfg in Kendleton, Texas. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church and a member of the Needville Knights of Columbus Council #7067. He was a life long outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. In recent years he enjoyed trips to Belize with his good friend, Richard.

Howard was preceded in death by his father, Glynn Tomlin, and a sister-in-law, Margaret Tomlin.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Margaret Mokry Tomlin; sons, Charles Tomlin of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Matthew Tomlin and girlfriend, Tammy Shed, and son, Tyler, of Needville, Texas; mother, Bonnie Tomlin of Sulphur Springs, Texas; brothers, Emmett Tomlin and wife, Sandi, of Silverton, Texas, Dennis Tomlin and wife, Kay, of Pickton, Texas, Stanley Tomlin and wife, Chris, of Harlingen, Texas; grandson, Aaron Jamnik of Pueblo West, Colorado; along with numerous other family and friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M., with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 19, 2006, in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg, Texas. The funeral mass will be held at 3:30 P.M. Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Needville, with interment following St. Michael's Archangel Cemetery in Needville Texas. Father James Ramsey will officiate the services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael's Family Center Building Fund, P.O. Box 95, Needville TX 77461, or to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, P.O. Box 4486, Houston, Texas 77210, earmarked Head & Neck Research.

Funeral services are under the direction of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home,3900 B. F. Terry Blvd., Rosenberg, TX 77471. 281-341-8800.
