Tom was born on the Nebraska side of the Kansas/Nebraska state line in the front of his parent's car. Truly a Husker fan for life, he was baptized in 1947 in Bern, Kansas.

He graduated from Pawnee City High School in Nebraska in 1962, and completed his education at Fairbury Junior College in Fairbury, Nebraska and Peru State College.

Tom worked as an appraiser for the state of Nebraska and the far Northeastern states. He was the Manager of the Rural Water District in Pawnee County until he moved to Texas in 1983. Tom went to work for the City of McKinney in 1985 as a line locator where he was lovingly referred to as "Unka Tom". He retired after 22 years in May of 2006.

Tom married Lois Ferguson Brezina on March 7, 1975 in Las Vegas, Nevada. When it came to things Tom loved, he was a great multi-tasker. He could read a Louis L'Amour book, watch sports on TV, and at half time he would be out teaching his grandkids to swim in the backyard pool. Tom never missed an opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren, whether it was going tot a ballgame, fishing, or just taking them to the Duck Park. He was a volunteer firefighter and a member of the Jaycees.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lowell Marsh Allison, and brother, Terry Allison, son Roger Brezina, grandson Jeremy Brezina and step-father Ed Tegtmeier.
