Death of Peachy R. Gilmer
We are called upon to chronicle the death of this old and highly esteemed citizen of our county, which took place at his residence within 3 miles of the city, Tuesday last after a short illness. He was a brother of the late ex governor Gilmer of Georgia, W.B.S. Gilmer of Chambers county and Mrs. Judge B. S. Bibb of the city his mother was a Lewis of the noted family of Lewis and Virginia he has resided in this county for the last 30 years.
