LETTER CARRIER TAKEN BY DEATH

Benjamin "Ben" Donner Babcock, 61, died in his sleep at the family home on Friday. He was born in Spokane.

He was a graduate of Cheney High School and of Washington State College (WSU) and received his degree in 1930. After his graduation, he taught school in Leland, Idaho, and in Clarkston, Wash.

Mr. Babcok served as postmaster in Ewan, wash. Since his transfer to Paouse, he has served as the rural mail carrier for the past 13 years.
