Rites Are Set For V. Forney,
Services for Vern L. Forney, 60, of 1505 Pleasant View Drive, owner of Forney Real Estate Co., will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Quiring Mortuary. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. He died Wednesday, apparently of a heart attack.
Born in Sublette, Kan., he came to Wichita in 1935. He was member of the Wichita Real Estate Board.
Survivors include his widow, Freda; a son, Brent, Wichita; two daughters, Mrs. Janice Schweitzer, Wichita, and Mrs. Brenda Gillmore, Tulsa; three brothers, Orville, Sublette, Charles, Grand Junction, Colo., and Paul, San Diego; and two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Rogers, Denver, Mrs. Hazel Otten, in Canada.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.
