Ruth married the love of her life, Truel Niswonger on April 2, 1940. In August of 1955, they moved their children to Oregon where Ruth became heavily involved in the church, particularly as a Sunday school teacher and later with the women's ministry.
Ruth loved telling stories of growing up in the dry lands of Colorado. When she wasn't watching her grandkids, you could find her quietly sitting in her chair working a crossword puzzle or watching the birds and cats out the window.
Ruth is preceded in death by her husband, father, mother and 3 brothers.
Ruth leaves behind her daughter, Jeanette Carper and husband Ted; Joyce Turvey and husband Ed; and Sharon Morgan; sons, Gary Niswonger and wife Lynette; and Paul Niswonger and wife Rebecca. She also leaves behind a sister, three brothers, nine grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
This is only a small part of the story of her life - to know her was to love her - She will be dearly missed by many.
