Mrs. Maude Martin, 80, passed away Saturday, September 28, at 3:25 a.m. in Cherokee after a long illness. She had been a resident of the Cherokee community all her life.
She is survived by three daughters and four sons: Mrs. Bert Speelmon, Cherokee, Mrs. Loren Witcraft, San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. James Patterson, Cherokee, the sons are Reginald Martin, Roy Martin, Dale Martin, and Wayne Martin, all of Cherokee. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 1 sister Mrs. Frank Miller of San Diego, Calif., and one brother, Fred Goff of Cherokee, Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her husband, George L. Martin on February 3, 1953.”
