Died GRIFFIN - At her home in River Falls, Wis., March 5th, 1882, Mrs. G. R. Griffin aged 58 years. The deceased was the daughter of Joseph Fuller, Jr. and was the oldest of twelve children. In early life her parents settled in Northern Ohio, where they still reside, being now over 80 years of age. Her grandfather is well remembered by the children of this aged couple and the stories of his struggles as a soldier in the war of the Revolution as he recounted them are among their choicest memories. In Jan. 1862, Clarissa Caroline Fuller was married to her present bereaved companion Richard Griffin, and of this union three children were born, only one now living. During a residence of a number of years in this locality, she has ever been known as one of those quiet, inoffensive women, who in attending strictly to the affairs of her household, ruled with wisdom, love and success. Her sphere of activity, reached not beyond this; but in the final adjustment of human affairs such a sphere must be uncomparably superior to one that, thought exceeding large is at the expense of the home. Her sufferings were severe, but no murmur of complaint passed her lips. She died surrounded by friends and the large attendance at the funeral was significant evidence of the esteem in which she was held. No greater eulogy can be given any one that this, and it is not too much to say of her " She tried to train her children for the right." Her brother N.N. Fuller, of Kinnickinnic and her sister, Mrs Mackin of Boardman, are well known in this locality. River Falls Journal 3-9-1882
