Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Guntharp Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Rutland officiating. Burial will be in the City Cemetery with Guntharp directing.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. D.B. Barrett, Decatur; three daughters, Mrs. T.G. Bawsel, Birmingham, Mrs. Rhea Greenwell, Tuscaloosa, and Mrs. Gerald Gunn, Decatur; five grandchildren; two brothers, Ray Barrett, Decatur and J.D. Barrett, Decatur; two sisters, Mrs. L.F. Crook, Town Creek, and Mrs. Marcus Garrett, Lacey's Spring.
Mr. Barrett was a member of Rising Sun Masonic Lodge 29, a member of Central Methodist Church, and a veteran of World War II.
