Mary Virginia Gregg Reynolds passed away Monday, December 20, 2010, in Sleepy Hollow NY. She had lived in Westchester County for the past 25 years. Mary Jean, as she was lovingly known, was the beloved wife of Calvin Reynolds and the devoted mother of her six children. Mary Jean was born in Leesburg VA, graduated from the Lincoln High School in Lincoln VA and attended Marjorie Webster College. She grew up near Hamilton VA and prior to her marriage to Cal Reynolds lived in Purcellville VA. She sold to the school system the land on which Harmony Intermediate School was built in Hamilton VA. She is survived by her husband, five children from her previous marriage to John Wiley Pancoast: one son of Lilburn, Georgia; two sons of San Diego CA; one son of Cincinnati OH; and a daughter of Nashville TN; two stepsons of Miami FL, and one stepson of Windham, NH; seven grandchildren, five step grandchildren, and one great grandson. Memorial services were held at the Briarcliff Congregational Church in Briarcliff Manor, NY at 10am on Wednesday, December 29, 2010, and at the Goose Creek Friends Meeting House in Lincoln, VA at 11am on Friday, December 31. Burial was in Lincoln. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Phelps Hospice, 711 North Broadway, Sleepy Hollow, NY 10591.
