Edward Daniel Crabtree the son of Shepard and Rhoda Johnson Crabtree was born July 4, 1874 in Cowley County, Kansas and passed away at the Decatur County Hospital in Leon, Iowa December 13, 1955, being at the time of his death 81 years, five months and nine days of age.
He came to Iowa in 1920 and made his home in Decatur County, where he farmed until his health failed.
He was married to Monnie Weddle in 1920.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife and two step- children of whom he helped to raise; two sisters: Mary Bussy of Wichita, Kansas and Grace Kiddwell of Topeka, Kansas.
Funeral services were held at the Stewart Funeral Home at 2:00 P. M. Thursday December 15 and burial was in the Bethel Cemetery
