THOMAS NORRIS CLARK, JR. was born February 28, 1803 at South West Point and died March 6, 1865 at Kingston. He is buried in Bethel Cemetery. He was a lawyer and he and his first cousin, JOHN Y. SMITH, formed a law partnership at Kingston. Thomas N. Clark, Jr. married first (1831 in Fluvanna County, VA) LUCY SUSAN PAYNE (1812-1836 VA). 2 Children. Died young. He married secondly (1842 in Roane County, Tennessee) MARY ANN ELIZABETH CLOWNEY (1823-1899) who was the daughter of DR. JAMES L. and DELIA HANNAH CLOWNEY of Muddy Creek, Roane County, Tennessee. They made their home on "Prospect Hill," or in the house on Euclid Street. All nine of Thomas N. Clark, Jr. and Mary Ann's children were born at "Prospect Hill", and all died in Roane County except Susan who died in Morristown, and Eugene who died in TX. -Anonymous, Added: Sep. 12, 2011
