Gloria K. Olson, 84 of Columbus, Nebraska, died Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at Bryan LGH West Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011, at 10:00 AM at the Federated Church with Rev. Dr. James Goodenberger officiating. Interment will be in the Columbus Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at the Gass Haney Funeral Home and continue on Saturday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church. There will be a family prayer service on Saturday at 9:45 AM at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Federated Church.
Gloria Olson was born November 1, 1926, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Fritz and Jeanette (Jordan) Kuppig. She graduated from North High School in Omaha, and on September 4, 1948, was united in marriage to Robert Olson in Omaha. Gloria worked at the First National Bank in Omaha until the family moved to Columbus in 1959. During the years that Bob owned Hadley Braithwait in Columbus, Gloria helped out with the bookkeeping. She was a member of the "Daughters of the Nile", Beta Sigma Phi, and several Bridge groups. She enjoyed knitting, reading, gardening, traveling, and wintering in Arizona.
