Frances Amelia Perley, daughter of Thomas and Betsey (Elizabeth) (nee Farnsworth) Perley, was born September 20, 1831 in Bridgton, Maine.

March 25, 1852 she married Edward Watson Anderson, M.D. He died in 1861 at Fort Preble, Portland ME. She eventually relocated ti Naples, Maine, where she died of consumption on March 14, 1870.

Frances Amelia is listed as being buried in the Anderson Family tomb, along with her husband Edward. Edward's father John Anderson erected the tomb in 1854.
